What is Klearion?
Driven by a passion for clarity, directness, excellence, technicality, and creativity, Klearion's mission is to provide translation and localization services that empower businesses to connect with the Brazilian audience with messages that are authentic, effective, and perfectly natural.
Klearion is a single-linguist brand – I handle all the translations myself.
What is the Klearion approach to translation?
At Klearion, we see translation as a writing process that goes beyond mere language shifting. Our default approach prioritizes capturing the content's essence and conveying the intended meaning and purpose to the reader rather than being fixated on sentence structures. We may take cultural and contextual information as a lens for our workflow.
The result is a target text that is not only simple, natural, and idiomatic but also engaging and clear – while still being technical and precise, ensuring that your terminology, style, and guidelines are meticulously observed in the target text. In essence, we offer the perfect approach to localizing your product and conquering new markets.
Engaging - Natural - Technical - Faithful - Clear

Alright, how about some visuals? Here, you can browse through a selection of my latest projects that were made available online.
Due to confidentiality agreements (NDAs), certain projects are not displayed here. However, you can still check out my Project Descriptions to find their details.
Since 2023, I've been consistently translating and revising Easygenerator's website into Brazilian Portuguese. This includes competitor pages, features, customer stories, and their contact page.
This project requires me to use and work on a particular skillset. It involves marketing expertise (paying attention to brand voice, persuasive copy, buttons, and CTAs), website localization and creative translation (SEO-focused translations, metadata localization, cultural adaptation, idioms and expressions localization – sometimes even transcreating entire segments), technical terminology (within the e-learning domain), as well as the usual translator skills that involve attention to detail, terminology consistency, and continuous communication with Aurelia, my always helpful project manager.
Stay tuned for this section's updates! The tablegroup book on management and business culture was translated in 2023 and will be linked here as soon as it is published.
Credentials
Here, you can see all the credentials I was able to gather so far throughout my career.
3-Step Workflow
Rough Translation: I create an initial draft of the entire document, capturing the general meaning of the source text. The focus of this stage is to produce a natural text, so no perfectionism here.
Self-Revision: I meticulously revise the draft within the CAT tool, comparing the source and target segments to ensure accuracy and consistency. The focus here is to check whether all the information and nuances from the source text are accurately represented in the target text.
Final Proofreading: After taking some time to rest and clear my mind, I go through a final proofreading, polishing the target text to correct and perfect it before delivery. The focus here is to improve readability, flow, and style while fixing any grammatical errors or word repetitions.
These are, of course, the main stages. Depending on the project, the workflow may include other prior steps (such as studying the content and other reference materials to gather relevant terminology) and final steps (such as performing a QA within the CAT tool, playing the content on video to check whether it fits the timeframes, and more).

I worked with Jonathan during my time as Localization Manager for a SaaS company – we collaborated for over a year and he was essential in helping us achieve our goals with developing a Brazilian marketing strategy, from translating our core website to localizing ads. Jonathan is a great communicator, quick, effective and reliable, his work is consistently high-quality and he is extremely open to sharing and receiving feedback. I always valued Jonathan's contributions and the care that he put into each project. It was a real pleasure working with a professional who is so hands-on, committed and talented!

“Always Our First Choice for Brazilian Portuguese Projects”
“Creative Solutions and Attention to Detail”
I've had the pleasure to work with Jonathan on our Portuguese website and I only have positive things to say about our collaboration. His superpower as a linguist (among others) is to find creative solutions to adapt our content to our target audience, besides the attention to detail to spot any inconsistencies in the translation and check them through research. He also has excellent communication skills that truly facilitated my job in many cases. For example, he has been proactively providing feedback and comments for every project he worked on. We're lucky to have you in our team of linguists, Jonathan!

“He Delivered Accurate Translations, Even When Dealing with Complex Technical Subjects”
Project Manager at Atlantique Traduction Emilie Pointard
“Both Faithful to the Original and Natural”
I worked with Jonathan for four months on a 168-page religious translation project in which he was the translator and I did the proofreading in EN / PT-BR. Although it was a religious text, Jonathan brilliantly used his creative translation skills to deliver a text that was both faithful to the original and natural. The project had a few translation challenges, but all of them smoothly solved thanks to his creative and responsible insights. I fully recommend his work.
